Risk Disclosure
1. Purpose
This document summarises key risks associated with using VESTEX. It is not exhaustive and does not replace your own research or independent advice. Cryptocurrency trading, derivatives, and custodial services involve substantial risk, including the risk of total loss.
2. Market Risk
Digital asset prices are highly volatile. You may lose some or all of your funds due to price movements. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
3. Leverage and Liquidation Risk
Futures trading involves leverage. With leverage, small price movements can result in disproportionate gains or losses. Positions may be liquidated if margin falls below maintenance requirements, resulting in loss of the full margin amount. VESTEX may forcibly close positions that approach liquidation to protect the platform; you may not be able to close manually before this occurs.
4. Counterparty and Custody Risk
VESTEX holds user assets through third-party custodians and execution venues on an omnibus basis. In the event of counterparty insolvency, hack, regulatory action, or operational failure, you may experience:
- Delayed or failed withdrawals
- Partial or total loss of funds
- Inability to close open positions
- Legal uncertainty regarding your entitlement
5. Execution Risk
Trades may not execute at the expected price due to slippage, partial fills, venue outages, or liquidity constraints. VESTEX does not guarantee best execution. Mark-ups or spreads may apply.
6. Technology Risk
- Server outages, connectivity failures, cyber attacks, and software bugs may interrupt access to the Service or cause financial loss.
- Blockchain networks may experience congestion, forks, or reorganizations affecting deposits, withdrawals, or settlement.
- Smart contract or custodial wallet vulnerabilities may result in loss.
7. Regulatory Risk
Cryptocurrency regulation is evolving globally. Changes in law or regulation may restrict or prohibit access to some or all of the Service in your jurisdiction, freeze assets, or impose tax obligations without advance notice.
8. Liquidity Risk
Some digital assets and products have limited liquidity. You may be unable to close positions or execute withdrawals at desired prices or within expected timeframes.
9. Currency Risk
Users may be exposed to exchange rate fluctuations between digital assets, stablecoins, and fiat currencies. Stablecoins are not risk-free and may de-peg.
10. Fraud and Phishing Risk
Users are the primary target for account takeover attempts. Never share your password, 2FA codes, or recovery phrases. VESTEX will never ask for these by email, phone, or chat.
11. Card Risk
Prepaid cards issued via partner banks are subject to issuer terms, network rules, chargeback processes, and jurisdiction-specific consumer protection. Card services may be paused, limited, or terminated without notice.
12. Tax Risk
You are solely responsible for determining and paying any taxes arising from your use of the Service. VESTEX does not provide tax advice.
13. No Advice
VESTEX does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. All information provided through the Service is for informational purposes only and should not be relied on as the sole basis for any decision.
14. Acknowledgement
By using VESTEX, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these risks, that you accept them, and that you are financially able to bear a total loss of any funds deposited.
